Course Description

Explore the art of effective teaching and learning in higher education through our immersive course. On the first day, we will uncover the impact of attitudes, perspectives, and convictions on teaching and learning by analyzing, reflecting, and discussing video sequences of the participant’s teaching. The aim is to become more explicitly aware of various influencing factors and to be able to describe the main features of your own teaching concept.

On the second day, based on your teaching experiences, you will gain essential pedagogical insights, equipping you to create impactful teaching and learning experiences based on solid theoretical foundations. After the course you will apply this knowledge by planning your own course.

Learning Objectives

You will receive the tools to plan and implement your teaching at HSG-Courses:

  • You know different influencing factors on teaching and learning scenarios, can observe and reflect teaching and learning scenarios.
  • You give and receive feedback on teaching and learning situations, based on feedback rules.
  • You know the dimensions of the didactic canvas and can create a rough concept based on it.
  • You discuss your planning about its fit and review it in terms of the understanding of “good teaching”.
