CAS HSG in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education

Structure

Our continuing education programme is structured in two levels. The basic level is the first level of the CAS, in which you acquire a solid foundation for developing your teaching skills in the advanced level. If you attend the basic level, you will receive a certificate of participation. If you also complete the advanced level, you will receive the CAS HSG in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education upon successful completion. If you have the relevant prior knowledge, direct entry into the advanced level can be considered. Self-organised learning (SOL) plays an important role at all levels.

With the CAS HSG in Learning and Teaching in Higher Education, you are taking a holistic approach to developing your educational tools and reflective skills. You will learn to initiate and implement innovative teaching projects. In addition, the programme connects HSG lecturers with each other and contributes to the further development of the university's learning culture with the aim of sustainably promoting teaching quality at the HSG.

Timeline overview

The basic level takes place in the autumn semester. The advanced level can (but does not have to) be started immediately after the basic level in the spring semester. If all components of the basic and advanced levels are completed immediately after one another, a certificate (CAS HSG learning and teaching in higher education) can be obtained after 1.5 years.
