3 The allocation will take place after the kick-off. Two preferences can be indicated. 


Further components of the basic level: 

  • Submission of assignments on StudyNet (preparation and follow-up tasks)
  • 2 elective courses from the HDZ continuing education programme (or attendance of 2 teaching exchanges + reflection for 1 elective course)
  • Final paper basic level 

 

Advanced level – teaching skills development – 10 ECTS

  • 6 elective courses from the HDZ continuing education programme (Alternative: 1 TAP for 1 elective course) 
  • 2 Teaching Exchanges with short paper 
  • 6 Teaching observation and feedback (2 mentoring, 2 peer und 2 experts)  
  • Portfolio 

Regelungen CAS HSG in Hochschuldidaktik

 

Classroom sessions usually take place in seminar room A 24-3-246 in the central institute building ZIG on the campus of the University of St.Gallen.

For members of the University of St. Gallen (HSG) as well as lecturers affiliated with HSG, the programme fees are covered by the University of St. Gallen. For external participants without a teaching appointment at HSG, the fees are as follows:

Basic Level (5 ECTS): CHF 3,500

Advanced Level (10 ECTS): CHF 5,700

Please prepare the following electronic documents in advance:

  • Letter of Motivation: Please explain your motivation for applying to the continuing education programme in one to a maximum of two pages.
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV): A brief résumé.
  • Copy of your highest educational qualification

Applications for both the Foundation Level and the Advanced Level must be submitted via the application form, including the required documents.

Application Deadlines:
Basic Level (starting in the Autumn Semester): 30 June 2026
Basic and Advanced Levels: 30 June 2026
Advanced Level (starting in the Spring Semester 2027): 30 November 2026

Upon receipt of your application, you will receive an acknowledgement of receipt by email. Applications will be reviewed, and applicants will be informed of the admission decision after the application deadline has passed.
